Easy autumn loop hike for beginners on the western side of Hymettus, among Mediterranean vegetation with views of Athens and the Saronic Gulf. Route: Agia Mavra (Ilioupoli) – refuge of the local mountaineering club – Bibesi cave – return; the organizer gives 5–6 km, 3–4 hours and ±200 m elevation difference. A gentle climb on trail and forest road leads to the refuge, with a stop for rest and views; the descent follows a different route past the climbing field, Bibesi cave, the «Gouva» and the old quarry, back to Agia Mavra, where there is an optional coffee. Meeting at 10:00 at the open-air parking of Agia Mavra church, at the end of Sofokli Venizelou street, upper Ilioupoli, Parathira square; travel by your own means, by car or by bus to the terminus (no transport included). Included: experienced guides, insurance and organisation, all taxes; not included: meals, personal expenses, entrance fees, equipment. The fee is €10 for members of the Taxideftes Club; families can ask for an offer. Payment must accompany the registration form, by bank deposit, IRIS or card through Eurobank live pay (card payments +2%). Cancellation by the participant more than 5 days before: the money can be used by the same person for another outing within 6 months; less than 4 days before: the money is lost; no loss if you find a replacement.
