Hike in the fir forest of Parnitha National Park combining a plateau, water, springs and views from Saloniki of the National Park to the Euboean Gulf. We start from the Bafi refuge and head to Mola via Kantalidi and Samari, with Ornio, the summit of Parnitha (1,350 m), on our left. After the chapel of Agios Petros at Mola we make our long stop on the Mola plateau. We then take the path of the Charadros river, which gathers the waters of north-eastern Parnitha (in the past led through the Oinoi gorge towards the Marathon plain, today stored in the Marathon reservoir). The return is via Mesiano Nero, with views towards Avgo peak; several springs above 1,000 m along the way. 9 km, +310 m / −310 m, grade Α, 3:20 net walking time, 4:00 including stops; the activity runs 10:00–14:30 at Bafi.
