Circular hike from just past Steni to the alpine Portaris summit (1,453 m) of Xerovouni, facing Dirfys all the way: first through pine, fir, beech and chestnut forest with springs, then a rocky alpine section, the most demanding part of the climb. About 4.5 h, grade «moderate». In case of snow the route is done lower down. Arrival at the start around 09:30; lunch at a tavern in Steni afterwards; return to Athens around 20:00. Minimum 15 participants. Included: coach, certified guides, helmet for the climb, snack and water, group first-aid kit, liability insurance and taxes.
