Two days in little-known eastern Zagori: the villages of Kapesovo, Vradeto and Tsepelovo, their stone houses and bridges. Day 1: by coach from Athens with a photo stop at the Kokkoris bridge, a walk around Kapesovo, then down into the gorge, over a small stone bridge and up the winding stone Vradeto Steps (Skala Vradetou) to Vradeto for coffee at the traditional café; an easy path then leads to the Beloi viewpoint over the Vikos Gorge, and back the same way to Vradeto. Dinner and night in a traditional Zagori hotel. Day 2: after breakfast, climb from Vradeto to Avgerinos (1,750 m) on Tymfi, with views over the Tymfi peaks and south-east Zagori; back to Vradeto and return to Athens after a meal stop. Extra snow gear may be required depending on conditions. Included: certified mountain guides, coach transport from Athens, hotel with breakfast, civil liability insurance and VAT. Bring four-season clothing, semi-rigid boots, gaiters, poles, gloves and hat; crampons optional. The programme will be adapted to the weather, snow and the group.
