Point-to-point hike from the old watermill of Palaia Kavala to the city of Kavala, through plane trees, streams and running water, past stone bridges and parts of the old waterworks. The main stop is the «Mana tou Nerou», the spring that supplied Kavala for centuries; the path then opens to views of the Philippi plain, Mount Pangaio and the sea down to the city. 13.5 km, +250 m / -550 m, highest point 550 m, about 5 hours, difficulty 2-2.5/5, good fitness; ages 14+ with a guardian.
