Two-day traverse of Parnon in the Alpine Style Summits series. Day 1: by coach from Athens to the Sparta mountain refuge, then through fir forest up to the alpine plateau, where the group sets up the Parnon Alpine Camp; evening talk about Hellas Nature's mountaineering expeditions and 2027 plans, night in tents. Day 2: break camp, climb Tourla (1,935 m), the highest summit of Parnon, then descend through the fir forest to the historic Malevi Monastery (above Agios Petros) and return to Athens by coach. Each hiker carries all personal and camping gear, food and water; tents and sleeping bags can be rented for an extra charge, subject to availability. Good fitness required. Included: transport from and to Athens, certified mountain guides, camp organisation, group first-aid kit, civil liability insurance and VAT. Not included: food and drinks, tent and sleeping bag rental, sleeping mat and personal gear. Bring boots, a 50-70 l pack, tent, sleeping bag, mat, food and water for two days, warm waterproof clothing and a head torch. The programme may change because of weather.
