Two days on Oiti in the Alpine Style Summits series: the aim is 24 hours fully self-sufficient in the mountains as well as the summit. Day 1: by coach from Athens to the Pathaina saddle (Diaselo Pathainas), then carry all personal and camping gear up to Oiti's alpine plateau and set up camp below the summit; evening talk about Hellas Nature's expeditions, night in tents. Day 2: climb Pyrgos (2,156 m), back to camp, pack up and descend the same way; return to Athens. Each hiker carries all personal and camping gear, food and water; tents and sleeping bags can be rented for an extra charge, subject to availability. Good fitness required. Included: transport from and to Athens, certified mountain guides, camp organisation, group first-aid kit, civil liability insurance and VAT. Not included: food and drinks, tent and sleeping bag rental, sleeping mat and personal gear.
