Saturday hike: Kastraki to Great Meteoron and Varlaam monasteries past the ruined Pantokrator and Ypapanti, 7.6 km, 3 h, +/-357 m, easy 1/5. Sunday hike: Kastraki to the Agio Pnevma and Agia Triada monasteries, 5 km, 3 h, +423/-187 m, easy 1.5/5. Alternatives either day: Via Cordata on the Meteora rocks (no climbing experience needed, comfort with heights, max 15) or about 4 hours of rafting on the Aliakmonas from Felli, Grevena (about 8 km, max 15); on Saturday a Gold Secret Challenge for Trekkers Gold Members (max 10). Activities depend on the weather and may be changed for safety. Meet 06:45, coach leaves 07:00 from the Museum of Contemporary Art (Syngrou-Fix metro), then Nea Filadelfeia junction 07:20, Kalyftaki bridge 07:25 and Agios Stefanos (Choriatiko) 07:30; back in Athens about 21:00.
