Saturday: from the Agrafa mountain refuge (1,536 m) down through fir forest with views of Templa and the lake to Neochori (one-way, 6 km, +50 m / -580 m, about 2.5 h with stops, grade 1 easy). Sunday: loop from Agios Athanasios on the east shore of Lake Plastira through oak forest and along the shore (7 km, +/-200 m, about 3 h, grade 1), then lunch and return to Athens before 22:00. One night with breakfast at the Kierion Hotel 3* in Karditsa town centre. Deposit €80 within 2 days of booking. Included: coach transport, experienced escorts certified in first aid, group first-aid kit, hiking poles, travel-agency liability insurance and taxes; meals not included. Bring hiking boots (required), clothes for the season, a windproof/waterproof jacket, a backpack, at least 1.5 litres of water, snacks and a change of clothes and shoes for after the hike.
