First edition of the Corfu Odyssey Stage Trail & Hiking, a five-day journey across Corfu combining sport, nature, culture and Greek hospitality, organised with the support of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontian Islands. Five stages, about 74 km in total, on ancient footpaths, mountain trails, olive groves, coastal tracks and forest roads, with views over the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic coast. Starting from Ipsos, the route climbs to the summit of Mount Pantokrator, the highest mountain on the island, and passes through traditional villages such as Spartilas, Strinilas, Sokraki, Lakones, Paleokastritsa and Liapades, near beaches such as Liapades, Myrtiotissa, Glyfada and Kontogialos. A different start line every day: Stage 1, Tue 18 May, 07:30 Ipsos, 18 km; Stage 2, Wed 19 May, 07:30 Palaiokastritsa, 12 km; Stage 3, Thu 20 May, 07:30 Benitses, 18 km; Stage 4, Fri 21 May, 07:30 Liapades, 8 km; Stage 5, Sat 22 May, 16:30 Ermones, 18 km, finishing in Varipatades. The trail run and the hiking follow the same schedule and start places. Hiking: in a group with Sherpa mountain guides and safety staff; no time limit, the pace is set by the guides and the group. Entry €160 until 28 February 2027. Age 18+. Maximum 150 participants across the trail run and the hiking. Optional packages on request: five-day transfer (to each start and back to your accommodation) and six-night accommodation, contact info@corfumountaintrail.com. Registration online by credit card (transaction fees borne by the participant) until 2 May 2027 or until the 150 places are filled. Cancellation: 80% refund until 8 April 2027, 50% up to 15 days before the event, 100% if the organisers cancel; no refund if the dates are postponed. Switching between the run and the hiking is possible up to 20 days before. Mandatory equipment: emergency blanket, whistle, elastic bandage, hydration system or bottle, mobile phone, at least 500 kcal of food, and your own cup (no plastic cups at aid stations); the GPX of each stage must be loaded on your watch or GPS. Dogs are allowed if they don't bother other participants; poles allowed. After Stage 5 everyone is invited to a free celebration in Varipatades with souvlaki, beer and traditional Greek music.
